Frequently asked question's:
Visiting Unity for the first time? Here's some helpful answers to common questions!
What dress or attire is expected?
Our members and regular attenders wear anything from jeans and t-shirts to coats and
ties or dresses (men and women, respectively, of course). We are truly the church for whosoever.
We're more concerned with your spiritual condition than your outfit, so be sure that you won't
stand out regardless of how you look. Modesty is requested, but beyond that, we want you in service
with us, so don't feel the need to be dressy.
Will my children enjoy Unity?
Unity has so much for children and youth! We have a well-staffed nursery
during each and every service. Sunday morning worship services are always
exciting and interactive for children. Wee Nation is our Children's Church
for ages 2-5, Kidz Nation is for ages 6-8, and Lil Nation is for ages 9-12.
Our J12 Middle School Service takes place on Sunday evenings, where 6th
thru 8th graders have a time of fun and fellowship, but most importantly
learn the word of God in a way that reaches their age group. Wednesday
night classes include Joy Belles and Blue Belles for pre-teen girls, and
Pioneers for Christ for pre-teen boys. Our Alien Nation youth service on
Wednesdays features our great youth band, Called By His Name, and has
everything a teen wants, from live music and videos to a message that
ministers to high school students.
I'm not sure about what I want in a Sunday School class? Do I have a choice as an adult at Unity?
Unity currently has a dozen Sunday School classes for adults, so you're sure to have
several that are in tune with your needs. Choose from: Thrive, a class for college
students; Through the Bible with Evangelist Don Davis, which is recorded each week
for radio and television; Heart of an Artist, taught by Music Director Rhonda Trull;
The Adult Class taught by Ray Hamilton, or many more.
Will I have an opportunity to get "plugged in" at Unity?
We have so many ministries and events happening at Unity that we are sure you
can make friends and get involved quickly. Unity has many outreach ministries and
activities, so there's always something happening here!
