Christian Discipleship
Our Christian Disclipleship Program is a ministry that has been strategically developed to reach everyone. No matter what you are looking for, we are sure to have a class that will meet your needs. The program takes place every Sunday morning, starting at 9:45 AM, and different classes are located across our campus. Here is a detailed list of what we offer:
Adults
Thrive: Designed specifically for ages 18-25, this college aged class addresses the needs and purpose of the Post Modern Christian Young Adult. Pastor Rob of Alien Nation provides breakfast and a casual setting to discuss Christianity today in Room 207.
Prayer: Intercessory prayer is a huge part of growing to be like Christ. Prayer warriors meet weekly with Sis Addie Robinson in our new prayer room in the Balcony.
Ask the Pastor: Each week, our Pastor takes time to answer your questions and concerns in a town hall format. The popular “Ask the Pastor” Wednesday night program is now a Sunday School class. So join us and learn all you can about the Word of God.
Men's Discipleship: Teacher, Allen Dukes meets with men wanting to grow closer to God in Room 201. This great time of fellowship and sharing is geared for single and married men as well. There is no question too difficult to answer with the Word of God, and this class sorts our Christian living for men.
Getting Real: Lisa Dukes, Miki Appler, & Debbie Moxley share their unique perspective of life with Christ as a woman. Using resources such as Beth Moore, they discuss the challenges and blessings that come with being a Christian Woman today. Probably our fastest growing class, they meet in Room 112.
The Heart of the Artist: Teacher, Rhonda Trull uses over 25 years of music and a decade worth of ministry to address the needs and pilgrimage of every artist. Mostly for the musician, this class talks deeply about using our talents for His glory. Room 109.
The Gathering: Teacher, Allen Boyd meets in Room 211 with those ready to engage in the challenges of today’s Christianity. The excitement and dialogue of this class has caused each participant to invite a friend to be apart. This growing class is great fun!
Believer's Class: Teacher, Ray Hamilton meets in the Social Hall with Christians, mature in the Lord. Their time of fellowship and sharing brings class members closer to the God they have loved and served for years.
Kids
Highschool: By far, the most unique class and most unique teacher, Johnny Campbell draws the teens to discipleship each week. Discovering their purpose and using humor to do it is the reason this class is full each week. Join them for grades 9-12 in Room 206.
Grades 7 & 8: Debra Evors teaches our Middle School class and each student is ready to learn week after week! Newsletters and Creative devotion tools help make this class one of the most exciting in our Discipleship program. Room 203 houses our middle school.
Grades 5 & 6: Teacher, Sara Wiggins is passionate about these Tweeners and the challenges they face in their walk with Christ. With incentives and excitement she leads them on the path to discovery of Jesus Christ and His WORD. Located in Room 10 upstairs.
Grades 3 & 4: Teacher, Marcia Thorne is dedicated to 3rd & 4th graders reaching their potential in Christ. Each student is special and each week unique in the great time of sharing and learning that comes with games and prizes. Located in Room 11 above the social hall.
Grades 1 & 2: Teacher, Loretta Rinehart offers a great opportunity for this early elementary age group to grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. Located in Room 9 above the Social Hall, this exciting group is always full!
Pre-k & K: Teacher, Shirley Zipf spends time each week preparing a hands on lesson for each 4 & 5 year old student. Located in room 7, each child will enjoy the truth of scripture in an interactive room designed just for them.
Toddlers: Our new toddler nursery is specifically designed for ages 2 & 3, and all that they love to do. Director, Laura Godwin and various teachers will share the great stories of God with each child.
Nursery: Director, Laura Godwin has created an atmosphere for every infant to grow in exploration and interest in their God. Available during every service and Sunday School.
